A whole new Spectrum of Recycling success is awarded with prestigious Green Apple

Leading London waste management company has picked up a prestigious environmental improvements award for its work with the The Walbook, multi-tenanted complex in the heart of London’s square mile.

Spectrum Recycling received its Green Apple Environment Award by The Green Organisation who established the awards in 1994 and have become well established as one of the most popular environmental campaigns in the world. They reward and promote environmental best practice in the UK and elsewhere in the world.

 

Sepctrum Recycling won its Green Apple for a major waste management initiative it has implemented at The Walbrrok  - a striking, multi-tenanted building completed in 2010, where the aim was to provide a sustainable waste management service for tenants through working in partnership with both Spectrum Recycling and DOC Cleaning to ensure maximum impact.

 

The Walbrook Building achieved the following:

 

•             Increased the recycling from 45% to 71% of the waste produced on site.

•             Increased the recycling tonnage by approximately 35 tonnes.

•             Are now segregating 7 waste streams, this was previously 5.

 

Spectrum Recycling has become a specialist in office management and multi-tenanted sector waste management and recycling working with a number of other leading facilities management and property management organisations.
